By Car

From Athens, you can reach the village of Plataria via the Ionia Odos towards Igoumenitsa. (Average travelling time: ~ 5.5 hours).  
The total distance is 487 km. 

From Thessaloniki, you can arrive in Plataria through the Egnatia Motorway following the route Thessaloniki – Igoumenitsa. (Average travelling time: ~ 2.5 hours).
The total distance is 311 Km.

By Bus

From Athens to Igoumenitsa, and vice versa, there are about four itineraries by Public Buses daily. The distance is 415 km and the travelling time is approximately 6 hours. 

From Thessaloniki to Igoumenitsa, and vice versa, there are about 2 routes daily. The distance is 260 km and the travelling time is about 4 hours. 

There are also daily routes from and to Igoumenitsa from Athens, Corfu, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Lefkada, Parga, as well as a daily route to and from Syvota and Perdika.
